Let AI focus on solutions. Let PMs focus on problems

If you have been in the product space for any time at all, you will undoubtedly have heard the term ‘Focus on the problem, not the solution’. Often directed at product managers, it has a sound intention to remain focused on the problem that needs to be solved and defining what that actually is; the problem a customer or user has that, if solved, would help them in one or several ways (usually work faster, be able to complete a task, have a better experience with your platform, etc etc). As opposed to hearing the headline and solutionising too soon, becoming fixated on one course of action, and perhaps lacking collaboration with others within the team, such as engineers and designers.

Makes sense.

Recently, I was chatting with Jorge Alcantara, CEO at AI platform Zentrik, on a number of AI-related topics, and we stumbled upon the notion of ‘letting AI tools focus on the solution’ in this lifecycle.
